November Porch Note

“In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Come sit on the porch with me…

November has a way of slowing me down—of reminding me to notice the little things and give thanks for what’s right in front of me. Around here, that means family gathered close, the smell of something baking in the kitchen, and the hum of life happening all around the farm.

The chickens are still steady with their eggs, and the rabbits are settling in as we look toward the next round of breeding. I’m still holding on to that dream of a Jersey cow joining us one day—maybe next year will be her season. 🐓🐇🐄

This month holds a little extra meaning for me—it’s my birthday month 🎉 and that always brings a mix of reflection and gratitude. Every year feels like another opportunity to learn, to grow, and to keep using whatever gifts God’s given me for His glory.

And speaking of gifts—I’ve been getting back to my sewing lately, and oh, how I’ve missed it. Aprons are underway again, and I’d forgotten how truly therapeutic it is to sit at the machine, fabric in hand, and create something useful and beautiful. 🧵

🧵 Sewing Corner (Custom Orders)

If you’ve been waiting for something made just for you, visit the Stitching Corner on my website to see what’s available and place a custom request. I’d love to sew for you!

🍞 From My Kitchen (Holiday Goodies)

Holiday baking is warming back up. Customer goodies are available—just reach out if you’d like to get on my bake list for the season.

Porch Chats, Prayers & Devotions

If you ever want to stop by for a little encouragement, you can find me on TikTok for daily porch chats — a mix of prayers, devotions, laughter, and the real life that happens in between. It’s not always at the same time of day, but the porch is always open. Come join in when you can — there’s always room for one more chair.

As Thanksgiving approaches, I’m reminded that gratitude isn’t just for one day on the calendar. It’s in the everyday moments: a good cup of coffee, the sound of laughter, a safe place to call home, and the peace that comes from trusting God through every season.

So whether you’re knee-deep in holiday prep or just soaking in the slower pace that November brings, I hope you’ll pause for a moment, breathe deep, and give thanks.

Pull up a chair, grab your coffee (or sweet tea), and let’s welcome this new month together.

💌 Know someone who might enjoy this porch space too? Feel free to forward this or share the sign-up link with a friend.
